Description

Interestingly, when I tell people what I do for a living, they often ask why someone would pay me to organise their wedding. While I have only turned planning into a bread-and-butter business in recent years, I've been planning weddings for a long time and I've come to learn there are three main reasons that Brides-to-be turn to a professional for assistance.

1. I make dreams come true! Most brides aspire to a vision of their wedding which they have been gradually forming in their own minds for a long time. Making these dreams into a tangible, workable event can be a challenge and many brides feel more secure with a professional by their side, guiding them and ensuring every detail is attended to.

2. Horror Stories! All of us have, at some time or another, read or heard about things going tragically wrong at a wedding. Whether it's the florist delivering the wrong flowers or a thunderstorm encroaching on an outdoor ceremony, there are so many things that can go wrong. Professional Wedding planners know all the questions to ask to avoid disasters with suppliers etc. and are skilled in managing the situation when things go wrong. We generally have a back-up plan for everything!

3. Budgets and Bridezillas! Most Couples are on a limited budget and Hiring a planner means that they can tap into their list of established contacts and have someone to negotiate prices on their behalf. Many a Bride has become a Bridezilla trying to juggle a budget with her vision of the perfect day, all the while dealing with pressure from family and friends about different elements of the wedding. A planner will help balance all this and take the pressure out of the planning process.

In short, my answer is simple. The services of a Wedding Planner allow the Bride and Groom to enjoy their dream day without having to worry about a thing!
