We as celebrants are all individuals and have different personalities and your needs are all different Some of us are more formal and others easy going, but one thing a good celebrant needs to be is professional A celebrant has only one chance to get the ceremony right with no evident mistakes.
Many Brides and Grooms ask to meet us first before booking which is understandable, but remember you need to make yourself available at a mutually convenient time to do this, As a celebrant I am usually booked out early in the week from 5-7 lodging of Notice of Intended marriages. so try to make a half hour time slot in the late afternoon for these general meet me appointments a quality Celebrant will be able to show you choices of ceremonies and give you options of vows and readings.
We are not required to supply tables and chairs although some do and this is reflected in their fee.
I personally have a very good PA system and this is included in my fee.
Please remeber that a Notice of Intended Marriage must be lodged with your celebrant one calender month and one day before you can be married, but it may be lodged 18 months before hand. I suggest one year is a good time to do it.
I hope that this info has been helpful to those who read it.
Happy Wedding Day
