Daylesford to host That’s Amoré annual wedding expo

Daylesford residents will not recognise their historic Town Hall on Sunday August 22 when it is given a makeover for the fifth “That’s Amoré Wedding Expo.” This year 20% of all Profits will go the CFA

"Roaming musicians, wine and food tastings, cars, fashion parades and some of the most stunning gowns available. This is a spectacle that will bring hundreds of visitors to the region along with exhibitors from all over Victoria and of course many local exhibitors as well." Event organiser, Bettina Ralph, Managing Director of Daylesford-based Special Touch Weddings and Events Services said.  “The region is just so beautiful. There are so many interesting businesses specialising in weddings and I wanted to create an opportunity for them to showcase their wares and talents. Now couples, regardless of their wedding budget, can see for themselves the variety of offerings in this region”. "This is the fifth That's Amoré Wedding Expo, a one-day comprehensive showcase of all the wedding services Daylesford and the surrounding regions have to offer." Bettina added. “Our local venues such as Lakehouse,  Sault and the Convent have weddings booked most weekends between November and April. There is no shortage of wedding bookings outside the season as well. These venues use local suppliers and staff for their events - it is clear that weddings have a very positive impact on the wealth of our community.” The wide variety of businesses participating in this year's That’s Amoré include venues, caterers, videographers, photographers, dress designers, hair and make-up artists, stylists, cake designers, stationery designers, florists, gift makers and celebrants. "We expect about 500 visitors to attend the expo and they will not be disappointed." Last  year we had some particularly exciting and award winning exhibits. The Royal Mail Hotel from Dunkeld which was listed in the top ten wedding venues in Bride to Be; Mariana Hardwick gowns not seen before and Cannon 2009 Wedding Photographer of the Year, Yervant. It is an event not to be missed if you or someone in your family is considering a wedding any time soon, or if you are a business that caters to the wedding or event market!
